This penalty make sense to FIA, whats the point of giving a community service as penalty which the accused will not serve and other drivers support him for not doing it. At least now they can say they have imposed the penalty and driver fulfilled it02-11-2024 12:49

Just to Add further into this discussion ,This article is not about Ferrari, Its about giving more powers to the Race Control and to the Race Stewart apart from what the rule book says if common sense and rule book is colliding with each other. Every one thinks and agrees that Sainz got an unfair penalty and nothing Stewart or Race Control can do about it as he has no power to overturn the rule book and that's where this 5 Second Penalty comes also which has no meaning as the team and driver knows about it and rightly said by Max when the same communicated to him " SAY MY REGARDS TO THEM"21-11-2023 11:00

YES I will say the same thing, as he himself admitted he did that on purpose,he knows that 5 Seconds can be taken care off during the race so why not take a chance. As for the Silverstone, DNF is totally different scenario altogether and can not be related to Gaining Advantage on Track Positions and covers the penalty during the race as driver have the speed advantage on other cars and can make up for the loss time as penalty is not harsh enough to hurt them during the race21-11-2023 11:07

FIA should reconsider this 5 Second Time Penalty for Gaining a position on the track, It was clear from the reaction Max that it was a planned move from the team right from the start, Max reaction clearly shows when he was informed about the Penalty otherwise his reaction would be different much more furious than joking about it, That reaction from Max was a kind a slap on the face of the steward that the best you can do mate and nothing more than this in your power, Red Bull knows they have the speed advantage which can cover the 5 Seconds, They should consider to increase this type of offense to 10 Seconds then only it will hurt the team and driver21-11-2023 07:59

Everyone was mentioning Saiz and stating No fault of his own, what about when Engine blowup , Do we say the same thing that No fault of his own , Its a factor which no one consider, It happens due to the failure in the track safety and race conditions so demand here is to add such ruling in the rule book if the Engine/Gearbox change happens bcoz track damage the car but it will have a loop hole, just imagine car lost control due break failure and hits the wall and damage the gearbox and blames the walls and the track for the damage/failure Now can we put some common sense to it ?21-11-2023 11:38
